Polisi menyebut pelaku penyerangan diduga terpapar ISIS. Padahal sebenarnya keluarga Wiranto sangat religius dan islami.

Melihat penampilan tersebut ada netizen yang menyebut keluarga Wiranto terpapar paham radikal. Wiranto merasa perlu meluruskan tudingan tersebut.
Kepada Tim Blak blakan detikcom, mantan Panglima ABRI itu mengaku memberikan kebebasan putra putrinya dalam memilih model busana yang dikenakan.
“Kamu boleh kenakan baju apa saja, selama kamu merasa nyaman tetapi yang penting janganlah penampilanmu hanya untuk pamer tentang ke-Islamanmu, karena kedalaman agamamu bukan diukur dari pakaianmu atau penampilanmu, tetapi akhlak dan perilakumulah yang lebih utama,” ujar Wiranto pada 19 November 2018.

1. Anak Keluar dari UGM dan Belajar Islam di Afsel
Putra bungsu mantan Ketua Umum Partai Hanura Wiranto, Zaenal Nurrizki, keluar dari Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) lalu belajar Islam di sekolah tinggi ilmu Islam di Johannesburg, Afrika Selatan (Afsel). Di Afsel, Zaenal tinggal di asrama kampus.
Suami Rugaiya Usman Wiranto ini membenarkan anaknya keluar dari UGM dan memilih belajar Islam di Afsel. Menurut Wiranto, anaknya itu dengan kesadaran sendiri minta izin keluar dari UGM dan belajar Islam di UGM.
“Padahal dengan kesadarannya sendiri dia minta izin untuk keluar dari Universitas Gadjah Mada yang sangat bergengsi itu karena keprihatinan dan kesadarannya melihat perilaku sebagian generasi muda yang tidak lagi memiliki kepribadian yang terpuji,” ujar Wiranto.

Wiranto menyebut, anaknya itu mendalami Al Quran untuk memantapkan akhlak dan moralnya sebagai basis pengabdiannya sebagai generasi penerus.
Lewat internet, dia memilih tempat belajar Al Quran yang bebas politik, Ponpes Internasional di wilayah Land Asia Afrika Selatan yang khusus untuk memantapkan pemahaman Al Quran yang mengedepankan persaudaraan dan kedamaian, bukan sekolah teroris.
Namun baru setahun belajar di Afsel, anaknya sakit demam. Anak Wiranto meninggal dan dimakamkan di Afsel. Zaenal masih berusia 23 tahun dan baru menikah awal tahun 2013 dengan Salsabila.
Salbila saat menikah dengan Zaenal berumur 15 tahun dan merupakan salah satu murid dari Perguruan Tinggi Ilmu Agama Islam Darul Uloom Zakariyya, di mana Zainal bersekolah di sana.
“Dia meninggal di sana karena sakit, di saat membaca ayat-ayat suci. Maka saat ada orang yang mencibir dan memfitnah, sayapun hanya tertawa, karena memang tidak perlu saya layani,” tutur Wiranto.
2. Anak Perempuannya Pakai Cadar

Dalam penjelasannya, Wiranto menekankan kepada anak-anaknya untuk memberi kebaikan kepada negara, bukan merepotkan.
Kebebasan kepada anak-anaknya juga bersyarat, yaitu tidak boleh keluar dari pesan-pesan di atas itu.
“Saya memberikan kebebasan kepada keluarga saya untuk menjadi apa saja dan melakukan apa saja sepanjang tidak keluar dari rambu-rambu kehidupan yang telah saya pesankan kepada mereka itu. Saya selalu menekankan kepada mereka untuk berusaha memberikan kebaikan kepada negeri ini dan bukan malah merepotkan negeri ini,” paparnya.
3. Menantunya Berjenggot
